Abel Martin Roybal, 54, of Santa Fe NM, went to Heaven Tuesday April 21st, 2026. He was born to the late Antonio and Adela Roybal October 14th, 1971, in Santa Fe NM.
Abel completed all of his Catholic sacraments by 16 years of age and was a strong believer and loved our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In 1999 Abel moved to Clovis, NM then to Amarillo, TX, all the way up to Denver, CO all in about a ten year period. Those were his years of exploring the South West before coming back home to Santa Fe. Abel was a security officer at the Santa Fe Opera and was passionate about his career in public safety and his love for his coworkers.
Although Abel was not an active member of any local perish, he was a strong believer of Christ. He was never afraid to ask for prayer and was always willing to pray for and help those in need.
Abel recently rekindled his relationship with his daughter Geneva and was super proud of being a grandfather to, two grandchildren.
Abel is preceded in death by: Adela Roybal (Mother), Antonio Max Roybal Sr (Father), Geronimo Villa (Brother), Jose V Ortiz (Grandfather), and Rose Ortiz (Grandmother).
Celebration of life will be held on Friday May 15, 2026 at 11:00am at Sagebrush Church SF 4305 Vereda Baja Santa Fe, NM 87507. Reception to follow immediately after at The F.O.P. 3300 Calle Maria Luisa Santa Fe, Nm 87507.
Abel is survived by: Daughter Geneva, grandchildren Arianna and Noah, sister Carla brother in law Patrick, brother Max sister in law Patricia, brother Matt sister in law Trish, nephews Patrick, Luis, Esteban, Samuel, Adam, Neo and Koa, Nieces Maria, Audrey, Sophia, Amber, Hailey and Kim and numerous aunts, uncles, Primos, Primas and many perros (close friends).
Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Cde Vaca Jr, Esteban Roybal, Luis Roybal, Samuel Roybal and Lloyd Trujillo.
We love you "Martillo", Rest in Peace until we're together again. Puro Amor.
