Alonzo Valencia Jr., 66, died at home in Santa Fe. New Mexico.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Alonzo Valencia Sr. and Evangelina Lucero Valencia, his sister
Gina Marie Valencia, his brothers Robert Ray Valencia and Kenneth Arthur Valencia, and his grandson
Demitri Dominic Valencia.
He is survived by his children Aubrey Valencia, Mario Valencia and Vanessa Valencia. Grandchildren
Jasmine Valencia, Destina Valencia, Delicia Valencia and DeMario Valencia. One great granddaughter,
Rosalina Valencia-Swanson, and his former wife of thirty years, Marie Sanchez Valencia. He is also
survived by many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. And also by his grandpuppies,
Apollo and Kofi Valencia and great grandpup Leroy Valencia.
Alonzo was born May 9, 1957. He was a life-long learner and shared his passion for art, music, dance,
science, space, magic, and technology with his family and friends. He encouraged and inspired people
to follow their dreams. Alonzo had many talents and took pride in his work. He spent much of his life as
a printer and graphic designer and loved all things creative. He moved with his family to Colorado.
Alonzo spent his final years in his hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Alonzo’s wishes were to not have any formal funeral or service. He only wanted to be returned to the
earth, and remain part of the cycle of life. We will plant his Living Urn and a tree in remembrance.
However, there will be a family and friends gathering at Santa Fe Funerals & Cremations, 1091 Siler Rd
Suite A. (at the corner of Agua Fria Street and Siler Rd.) from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, January
