Angel Bonilla

Angel Bonilla (16) born December 16, 2008 in Selma California passed away May 23, 2025 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Angel was a very intelligent and talented young man who participated in band, ran track, and played football. His presence and charisma were well known throughout our community. Angel was a pillar in his family teaching, loving and caring for his younger siblings while learning, being loved and cared for by his mother and older siblings. Angel made a lasting impact on everyone he met with his contagious laugh and ability to give you the facts.

Angel is preceded in death by his great-grandfather Fred Smith, Uncle Joshua Clayton, and Great-Grandmother Susie Romero.

Angel is survived by his parents Andrea Blanco, Jose Saenz and biological father Angel Bonilla Sr. His siblings Veronica Blanco (Joseph), Carlos Blanco (Alayna), Genevieve Blanco, Jose Saenz Jr., and Alejandro Saenz. Great Grandmother Ruth Smith and Grandmothers Janet Ashton (Ron), Brenda Saenz and Martha Lopez. His Uncles Wade Lopez (Claire) Jesus (Chuy) Saenz, Darrell Romero (Gustavo), Dale Smith, Paul Smith, Anselmo (Cam) Bonilla and David Bonilla. His aunts Jessica Saenz (Arsenio), Darlene Gallegos (Frank), Jennifer Clayton (Nicole). Beverly Smith, Stephanie Moreyda (Refugio), and his dogs Ginger and Freyja. Angel leaves behind many cousins, friends and members of our community.
