Angelo Augustine Ortiz
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Angelo
Augustine Ortiz, age 51, on May 13, 2026. Angelo was born on April 10, 1975, at Edwards Air
Force Base California to Orlando and Irene Ortiz.
Angelo was preceded in death by his son, Damyan Baca; his brother Steven Ambrosio Ortiz,
maternal grandparents, Enrique and Esther De Herrera; and his paternal grandparents,
Ambrosio and Estela Ortiz.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother Irene Acosta (Jose) and father
Orlando Ortiz (Frances); his wife, Biridiana Munoz Ortiz; his sons, Angelo Ortiz Jr. (Angelica) and
Ambrose Ortiz; his daughters, Angelita Ortiz and Suzie Sedillo; and his three cherished
grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Jose Isaac Ortiz (Lupe), Richard Ortiz (Lesley),
sister, Joanie Stout (Matthew), and brothers Justin Ortega (Destiny), Vicente Otero (Amber),
Lorenzo Otero, nephews, nieces, many extended family members and friends.
Angelo lived life with enthusiasm and joy. An avid Harley-Davidson rider who enjoyed traveling
the open road, he rode to motorcycle rallies across the country, including the renowned Sturgis
Motorcycle Rally and many other notable rallies and events. He also loved spending time with
family boating on Storrie Lake in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Angelo was known for his friendly
personality and sense of humor, often joking around to make others laugh and feel welcome.
He owned and operated a successful appliance repair business, earning the trust and respect of
many customers through his hard work, skill, and dedication. One of his favorite expressions
and terms of endearment was “Puro Amor,” a phrase that reflected the warmth, kindness, and
affection he shared with family and friends. He also had a favorite saying: “Con una mano lavo
la otra mano y con las dos manos lavamos la cara” (One hand washes the other, and together
they wash the face). This proverb reflected his belief in cooperation, teamwork, and helping
one another, knowing that people can accomplish greater things together than they ever could
alone. He had a deep passion for music, singing, and karaoke, and he loved Harley-Davidson
motorcycles, lowriders, classic cars, and 4x4 trucks. He found comfort, strength, and peace in
praying to God.
Pallbearers will be Angelo Ortiz Jr., Ambrose Ortiz, Jose Isaac Ortiz, Richard Ortiz, Justin Ortega,
and Matthew Stout. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in
Pecos NM with viewing beginning at 9:00 a.m., Rosary at 10:00 a.m., and Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Rowe Cemetery.
The Ortiz family has entrusted the care of their beloved Angelo to Santa Fe Funerals &
Cremations.
