Christopher “Alyam” Moser passed away suddenly on March 7, 2024 in Santa Fe, NM. He was 71.

He grew up in Scarsdale, NY and resided in Santa Fe for his last 23 years. He is survived by his siblings: Pam (George) Bolen (FL & NY), Carl Moser (TN), Elizabeth Moser (NC) and Rick Moser (CA). Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews: Kelly (Scott) Bolen-Palmer, Geoff Bolen, Jesse Moser and Carly Rose Moser. Alyam attended Tyler School of Fine Art, as well as Croydon School of Fine Art in London.

He was influential and vibrant and so incredibly creative. In the early 80s he was a rising star in the New York art scene, with his very first solo gallery show selling out before opening night. Everyone wanted to be within his orbit, not only because he was so physically beautiful and incredibly talented but because they could feel his loving spirit emanating. Some of his later work can be viewed on moserart.com. A deeply spiritual man, he was a gifted intuitive, able to guide and coach numerous friends and private clients in life matters and decisions. He had a tremendous love for animals and had a special bond with his dog, Joya. Alyam was a great dancer and had a robust sense of humor, always ready to find the fun and laughter in life. Alyam was a good friend to all who knew him, and had an unforgettable and delightful personality. He will be deeply missed.
