DOLORES ESTELLA LOBATO, age 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her family home on February 2, 2026, in Santa Fe, NM. She was born to Canuto and Mary Lobato in Santa Fe, NM October 13, 1927.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Canuto and Mary Lobato, brothers, Max, Mariano, Arturo and Canuto Jr. Lobato: sisters, Cecilia Griego, Isabel Ortega, Christine Quintana, Bernie Lobato, Sara Howland, (Ida and Arthur, Mariano)
She was raised on East Palace and was one of seventeen children. She is survived by Sisters: Pricilla (James) Duke, Cleo Portillo, Brothers: Steve Lobato, Tony (Sandra) Lobato, sister-In -law Brenda Lobato her niece, caregiver and campanion Eleanor Lobato and caregiver and campanion Gloria Zamora many nieces, nephews and family members.
Dolores enjoyed spending her life surrounded by her large family, some of her greatest achievements and moments were watching her family grow up. She was a Historian among her community and her people She was a patient kind person and most of all she had a strong faith in our dear Lord She will be dearly missed but she will continue to watch over her family.
Services will be held at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Santa Fe, NM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 (St Patrick's Day). The Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Final resting place at the Rosario Cemetery at 2 p.m
