Eric (Jr.) Danny Martinez

On the morning of July 19, 2026 Eric Danny Martinez “Jr” passed away peacefully in his sleep. At the age of 44 years old, Jr left a lasting impact on those he met. Eric will surely be missed by everyone who knew him.

 Eric was born June 27, 1982 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Mary and Eric Martinez. He was the first of five children, followed by Stephanie, twins Cameron & Sabrina, and Christopher. Jr was proceeded in death by his father Eric Martinez, his grandfather Henry Sanchez who he missed so much. His aunt Joyce and uncle Johnny, cousins Frankie Johnny Salazar and Antanette Baker.

Eric was the life of the party and will be remembered for his captivating laugh. His kind, loving, caring heart and loyalty to friends. Regardless of age, Jr made it a point to brighten the day of those around him. Jr loved his nephews Brayden and Elijah. Jr was the Godfather to Joshua Baker, Isaiah Salazar and Iziquial Cdebaca. 

Children and pets were an important part of Eric’s life. Jr also adored animals, he was known to carry around dog treats everywhere he went. Eric leaves behind his beloved Precious, a 15 year-old Shitzu mix. 

Eric jr loved classic cars, particularly his 1965 Impala and his 1984 Cadillac Coupe.

Jr was a hard worker, he was always going above and beyond to make colleagues and guests feel seen and appreciated. Eric dedicated 15 years to Zia Vista Condominiums alongside his uncle Roach (Ralph). After quickly gaining the trust and admiration of his colleagues at St. John’s College, Eric was promoted to cleaning the President’s office as well as other administrative offices.

Eric was gifted in mathematics and art. While he could have pursued a career in either profession, Eric chose to pursue a career in customer service. Meeting people was a highlight of his personality. 

Our family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, love and support during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion means more than words can say. 

Services are as follows: Viewing will be held on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A Celebration of Life will take place on Aug. 5,2026 at Advent Life Church 62 A Van Nu Po Rd., Santa Fe, NM 87508.
