Eufrusina (Rosina) Vigil Chavez

July 27, 1943 – September 8, 2025

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rosina, who was peacefully called home on September 8, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Santa Fe, she dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren. Rosina worked for 28 years with the General Services Department and also worked for several years at the F.O.P. After retiring, she moved to Albuquerque.

Rosina will be remembered as a caring, loving, and generous person. Her love of family, along with her strong values, will continue to be cherished. Rosina listened without question, offering a safe space and a warm hug to anyone. The strong values she instilled in her family, especially the importance of hard work and unconditional love, will live on forever. She could brighten any room with a one- liner that had everyone in tears. Her shopping adventures with her grandchildren were a favorite pastime. Most importantly, she cherished family gatherings with her loved ones, creating beautiful memories for all 12 grand children, 14 great grand children and 4 great great grand children.

Rosina is preceded in death by her parents, Pantaleon Vigil and Aurelia Vigil- Morales, Bernie Vigil, Nicholas Chavez, Jerry Anaya, Mike Chavez, and Ebony Faith Martinez.

She is survived by her son, Mike Chavez (Wendy) and their children: Mike Jr., Megan Chavez, Amber Guevara, Ezekiel, and Trinity Guevara; her daughter, Yolanda Chavez and her children: Michaela, Phillip, Loretta Chavez (Meagan), Mariah Chavez, Monique Martinez, Joshua Chavez, Dennis Peralta III, Lilyanna Young, Francisco, Esperanza Chavez, Aria Rose, and Evianna Martinez; her daughter, Louise Chavez-Rasgado (Pilo) and her children: Jerry (Val), Estevan (Maria), Kane Anaya, Adan Rasgado, Estevan Jr. Anaya, Kahlila, Tobias, Ava Chesney, Jerry III, and Ariah Rae; her daughter, Krystal Chavez (Robert) and her children: Javier Rotunno (Lisa), Bre Bre Palmer, and Hailey Rotunno; and a very special life-long friend, Olivia Leal.
