"It is with great sadness that the family of Georgia Anne Vigil, known as Georgie, announces her peaceful passing from this life at the family home in Santa Fe on Monday, May 13, 2024.

Georgie,as she was known, was a vibrant, always smiling, happy person, who will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew her. 

Georgie was born on May 27, 1962, in Savannah, Georgia, to Isidore and Palmeria Vigil. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and oldest sister Pamela. She is survived by her older siblings Jeannette Terry, of Northglenn Colorado, Carla Gomez of Center, Colorado, and Robin Vigil of Santa Fe. She is also survived by nephew Paul Vigil of Comfort, Texas, niece Feliz Gomez Hillman of Denver, Colorado, and nephew Cristobal Gomez of Santa Fe. 

Georgie had recently retired from her employment with the State of New Mexico after many years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with  friends and family with her happy personality and will be missed by family and friends and all who knew her. 

Services for her are scheduled on Friday, May 31, at Santa Funerals and Cremations, located at Siler Road and Agua Fria Street at 10:00AM
Burial is scheduled at Rosario Cemetery at 11:30AM
