Kathleen Gray Schallock (née Foster) passed away on 1 April 2026. She was born in Madison Wisconsin on 19 June 1947. She attended Madison East High School and UW Madison. Kathleen was an accomplished artist in typography, lithography, caligraphy, jewelry, pastel and oil. Her art is in many collections around the nation. She made hand bound books and collages from the beautiful things she loved to collect. She made beautiful clothes and could knit you a sweater that fits, without a pattern and no seams.She grew beautiful gardens, renovated her house after gutting it. She was a violinist and violist and played in orchestras wherever she lived. She was a dancer, runner and skier. She is survived by her brother Robert M. Foster, her sister Jeanne G. Foster, sister-in-law Elizabeth Foster and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Ruth and Robert Foster and brother Daniel Foster. Kathleen loved the beauty around her and captured it in her art and music. She will be missed by many.
