In Loving Memory of our sister, Laura G. Lopez-Franco. Laura was born on October 21, 1961, Laura passed, unexpectedly on June 4, 2026, at her home in Santa Fe.

Laura was the fourth of six children born to Elena and Porfirio Lopez who preceded her in death. As well as her husband of 39 years, Manuel Franco, her nephew Randall Lopez Jr, Brother in-law, Manuel Tapia. Mother and Father-in-Law, Maria Rascon and Alfonso Franco, brothers in law Armando and Saul Franco.

Surviving Laura are her siblings, Andrew (Emma) Lopez, Greg (Liz) Lopez, Carla (Anthony) C de Vaca, Louanne Lopez, Randy (Dina)Lopez. Auntie Marylou Sandoval, Gilbert (Rosalba) Baca, Her bestie, Luana (Ramon)Koroneos Ortega.

Sisters-In-law, Graciela (Hector), Hilda, Sara (Arturo). Brothers-in-law, Othon (Lorraine), Luis (Bertha), Alphonso Jr (Luz), her god son Elier Franco, along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Laura had a big personality, a great smile, and a crazy sense of humor. We know she is happy to be back with her husband Manuel.

Laura was a native of Agua Fria Village. Laura graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1979. She was a sworn officer in the Parking Enforcement Division for the City of Santa Fe, until she retired after 25 years. On any given day, you could see Laura all around the plaza, writing tickets, directing traffic, giving directions, or translating for the police, she loved all the action.

Services will on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at San Ysidro Parish Center. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. After Mass, Laura will be laid to rest at El Cementerio de Agua Fria.
