Leonard,
A vibrant firm soul with high integrity died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 6:46 PM. He was the greatest grandfather to his beautiful grandchildren Isaiah, Angelo, and Alissa whom he cherished the most. Leonard was the greatest Father to Felicia & Teresita, and an excellent father-in-law to Angelo and Robert. Along with being almighty son, brother, and friend to many people.
Our Father enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was such a humble and simple man. He would love to sit at his kitchen table to enjoy coffee and his cigarette. Leonard welcomed many that came through his door, with offerings of coffee and food. Our Father will be missed, as we loved him deeply. Leonard touched many hearts and will be missed dearly by many. Leonard was a man of his word and is proceeded in death by his father Leo Cde Vaca and Mother Tessie Cde Vaca.
Words from his Grandchildren:
My grandfather, Leonard Cde Vaca brought nothing but laughter and joy to those around him. Not only a remodel to myself, but to many others as well. He was someone who created a positive energy in each room he stepped into. I cannot thank him enough for being such a positive influence in my life and giving me so much direction and support. Through all his hard work, I learned so much from him, and I will forever be grateful for that. He will be missed daily. Thank you, grandpa, for our time together. I love you.

My gramps, he will be missed deeply he was humble and a feisty man but always genuine no matter what. He was the man I would run too if I was hurt, excited about something or especially hungry. He was always there when someone needed him or needed something. Especially his grandchildren, even though we put him through hell growing up. I remember my mom didn’t want me to eat junk food so I would always run to his house and tell him, and he would make me the so-called junk food, he didn’t care what my mom would think, as-long-as I was happy. If he saw one of us doing bad, he would lead us in the right direction and give his advice and opinion on the situation and support us through it all. I will always miss the days when he would make me bologna sandwiches and put PBS kids on TV while he sat at his table and he smoked his cigarettes watching me. I will always cherish the memories he has given to me, and the unconditional love I felt from him. Thank you so much Gramps for being a part of my life you are and will be missed deeply and daily. I love you gramps.
-Alissa
My Grampy, he was there when I always needed him, he never complained. My grandpa is the one who has walked me through a lot. My Grampy was the most generous, loving and caring person. He always had his door open to many people, especially his grandchildren. We never could do wrong. The long days he sat in the garage taking naps and working on cars, and in the mornings watching PBS kids and listening to 89.1, while he made breakfast when we were younger. To us, he is growing old and giving wise advice, that will always be remembered and cherished for life by me. My Grampy will be missed, loved and remembered for the rest of my life. I’m grateful I had you as a grandpa and super grateful for the life I had spent with you. You were the best. Thank you for everything my Grampy, I love you.
-Angelo Jr.
