Marcial Elisao
Romero
February 11, 1985 – April 19, 2026
Marcial Elisao Romero
Marcial “Gerber” Romero, 41, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on April 19, 2026.
Marcial was born on February 11, 1985, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Marcial Romero Sr. and Jeanette Barela.
Marcial was known for his playful spirit and sense of humor—he loved joking around and bringing laughter to those around him. He had a deep love for music, and it was rare not to hear him enjoying his favorites: rap, country, and oldies. He was a kind and generous man; if he bought something for his wife and someone else admired it—especially his mother-in-law—he would make sure to get one for them too. He gave whenever he could.
Above all, Marcial loved his wife and children with all his heart. In his final months, he cherished the time spent with his kids, creating memories they will hold onto forever.
Marcial will be deeply and forever missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marcial Romero Sr.; father-in-law, Greg Nieto; sister-in-law, Estrella Mena; uncle, Marcos Romero; paternal grandparents, Ascencio Jr. and Amable Romero; and maternal grandparents, Reyes and Corrine Barela.
Marcial is survived by his loving wife, Brandy Romero; his daughters, Nevaeh and Lisamarie Romero; his sons, Markus, Mario, Marcial, and Baby Romero; his mother, Jeanette Barela; mother-in-law, Angelina Nieto; his brothers, Joseph Romero, Angel Romero, and Phillip LeRouge Jr.; his sisters, Denise LeRouge and Francine Chavez; sister-in-law, Anna Mena; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous relatives who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on May 14, 2026, at Grace Community Church, 2247 Camino Carlos Rey, Santa Fe, NM 87507.Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Rosario Cemetery, 499 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501. A reception will be held after the burial at Grace Community Church.
