Valentina D. Bowles

Valentina Bowles, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Pecos, NM on July 23, 2024.

Valentina was born on December 18, 1938, and was a lifelong resident of Pecos, NM. She is preceded in death by her

husband Andrew Bowles, Jr., her parents Pedro and Simona Sena, and grandchildren Ian Bowles and Beverly Helen Quintana.

Left to cherish her memory and survived by children Veronica (Paul) Constantine, Pamela (Lorenzo) Quintana, Clyde (Jeanette) Bowles,

Johnny (Rita) Bowles, and James Bowles. Ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, nine siblings and

many nieces and nephews.

Valentina was a cook with the Pecos schools for 24 years and a volunteer foster grandparent after retirement. She loved to cook, pray, 

sing, dance, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Valentina was a beautiful soul who brought joy and love to all those around her. On behalf of Valentina Bowles, 

our family would like to extend our gratitude to Anvoi Hospice, Ambercare and all the other healthcare professionals at 

Christus St. Vincent, Nexus, and UNM Hospital for the extraordinary care provided to our mother and grandmother.

A celebration of life will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Anthony’s Church in Pecos, 

NM, mass to follow at 11:00am. The burial will be at The Pecos Cemetery at 12:00pm. Reception to follow at the

American Legion Hall in Pecos.
