Victoria Elaine
Johnson Beardsley
August 3, 1944 – May 30, 2026
Victoria Beardsley, 81 years old, passed away peacefully the evening of May 30th, 2026, at her home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the loving presence of family.
Victoria was born in the summer of 1944, in Spokane, Washington, and grew up immersed in the lush natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest before spending many years living and working along the California coast, from San Diego to San Francisco. She eventually retired to the high desert mountains of Santa Fe, where she enjoyed a comfortable life of reading and reflection, and building a beautiful garden frequented by hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.
Poised, insightful and immensely knowledgeable, Victoria inspired respect from those who met her and devotion from those who knew her. She was passionate about family, nature and social justice - and a fierce guardian of all. Her keen eye made her an excellent photographer. Strong and perseverant, with an unsinkable sense of humor, she could be counted on to notice beauty in the little things and find peace in quiet moments. From a young age, these personal qualities made her a trusted advisor to friends and family alike.
Victoria is survived by her husband, William Beardsley, and her children, Russell, Megan and Candace Miller. She is also survived by her brother, Douglas Johnson, sister, Jennifer Johnson Kirstein, brothers and sisters-in-law, and four nieces - all of whom she loved very much - and several precious lifelong friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Russell & Maude Johnson and by beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and greater ancestors from whom she drew inspiration.
Though her body has departed, her spirit will always uplift us.
In accordance with Victoria's wishes, there will be no formal services. Instead, please share your love and memories here.
