XAVIER LUCAS ROMERO

March 6, 1995 – June 4, 2026

Xavier Lucas Romero passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2026, at the age of 31 years old. He resided in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and graduated from St. Michael’s High School in 2013. Xavier served six years with the New Mexico Army National Guard, earning an Honorable Discharge, and was later employed as a National Guard Educational Technician (Tuition Assistant Manager). In 2025, Xavier earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership in Public Safety from New Mexico Highlands University. Xavier was also a member of the University of New Mexico’s National Society of Leadership and Success. He was employed with the Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Learning Specialist.

Xavier loved his boys deeply. He was a diligent worker and a good provider. Xavier was generous and kind, with a good sense of humor. He would not hesitate to help others. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, barbequing, and visiting with his friends and family.

Xavier is survived by his beloved sons, Joshua Lucas Romero and Niall Lucas Romero, loving parents, Miguel “Mike” Lucas (Cheryl) Romero and Mary (Fernando) Mares, brothers Ezekiel Lucas Romero and Zechariah Lucas Romero, grandparents Reynold and Maria Romero, Sergio and Dorothy Rivera, Victor (Tina) Gonzales, and Linda Gonzales, uncles “Kiki” Romero and David (Patty) Rivera, aunt Virginia Rivera, nephew Cruz Rivera, many other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be private with family and friends attending.
